The personal injury attorneys of Sumner Law Group, LLC are pleased to sponsor an annual Scholarship Contest to benefit high school students in the state of Missouri. The firm will award a total of $3,500 in scholarship money to three deserving students.

To enter Sumner Law Groups Scholarship Contest, students should submit an original essay on the following topic:

What inspires you to pursue a career in law?

 

Scholarship Prizes

Sumner Law Group will award prizes to three students whose essays are chosen as winners of the Scholarship Contest. The prizes will be:

First Place—$2,000
Second Place—$1,000
Third Place—$500

Each winner will receive a check from the law firm to be used for education-related expenses.

 

Scholarship Eligibility

The essay contest is open to students enrolled in high schools in the state of Missouri. Applicants who are 17 years old or younger will need to provide parental consent to enter.

Applicants should submit an essay as a Word document or PDF, a digital photo of themselves and a school transcript to info@sumnerlawgroup.com.

General Rules

  • Students should submit an original essay of approximately 500 words.
  • By submitting an application and essay, you acknowledge that if you are selected as a winner, Sumner Law Group, LLC will own all rights to publish, distribute and promote the essay.
  • By accepting a prize, all winners grant Sumner Law Group, LLC the right to use their name, biographical information, and photograph for marketing purposes.
  • A selection committee will choose the winners. Submission of a plagiarized essay will result in disqualification. The decisions of the committee are final.
  • Employees of Sumner Law Group, LLC, its boards of directors, and immediate family members are not eligible to enter the essay content.
