Eugene H. Fahrenkrog has decades of trial experience representing individuals and families in complex medical negligence cases. He has successfully recovered millions of dollars in compensation for people who have suffered life-altering injuries due to medical malpractice. He has also earned a reputation for demanding justice for families who have lost loved ones due to deadly medical errors.

Going up against large hospitals and deep-pocketed healthcare providers requires both skill and resources. Eugene has been practicing law for 50 years. He works with a network of respected medical experts to investigate malpractice claims and craft strong arguments to present at trial. He has a unique understanding of the medical field and has handled cases involving surgical and hospitalization errors, medication errors, delays in diagnosis, emergency room errors, anesthesia errors, and birth injuries.

In addition to legal acumen, Eugene believes the key to helping medical malpractice victims is genuine compassion. “I understand the pain and frustration that patients face when a negligent medical provider betrays their trust,” he says. “They want answers. They want justice. I help them get it. I work hard to give my clients peace of mind.”

A native of St. Louis, Eugene was inspired to become a lawyer by watching “Perry Mason” on TV growing up. He earned his J.D. from Washington University Law School in 1971. He started his legal career in the office of the St. Louis County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. He then went into private practice with a focus on personal injury litigation.

Eugene is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and the Christian Legal Society. Outside of his work at Sumner Law Group, LLC, he enjoys spending time with his family and volunteers with a local jail ministry. He is also a longtime member of the Central Presbyterian Church. Eugene is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and was President of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys in 1983.  The Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys works hard to protect the equal access of Missouri citizens to the judicial system and fights to protect the right to trial by jury.  Eugene is a member of the Christian Legal Society and served as President of that organization from 2004 to 2006.
